Help Me With Your Feedback!

Hi! Today, I’m asking for your help and feedback, if you can spare me a couple of minutes? Nothing taxing, but I hope your answers will help me to provide you with the experience and information you are looking for when you visit my blog.

Recently, I have been blogging more, which I hope you’ve all been loving, and I’ve been loving all the comments you’ve been leaving me. Recently, I’ve noticed lots of comments asking for more details on how certain projects are created, especially the 3D items. As I’m sure you can imagine, these projects are more detailed and take longer to create, and therefore providing more details/tutorials takes longer too.

Like many of you, I have only limited time to create and share, and up to now, I’ve been assuming that you would like to see more projects, but I’ve realised that I shouldn’t be assuming anything on your behalf!

This is where you come in – I need you to tell me what you’d like to see! Now, that does come with some proviso’s – after all, I will still only have the same amount of time per week to create and share. So, I need you to let me know if you would prefer to continue to see 4-5 projects a week, with less details on their creation, or would you rather I shared fewer projects (2-3 per week) but went into greater detail about how they are created?

Remember, so that you get what you are looking for when you visit, I need your feedback. You don’t need to leave a lengthy comment if you don’t want – even just ‘more projects’ or ‘less projects’ will allow me to see what you want – so if you want your voice heard, please leave me a comment.

Thanks for your time today. I look forward to hearing from you, and continuing to serve you as best as I can,

Global Design Project #GDP050 – Sketch Challenge.

Hi There! You may (or may not) have noticed my brief absence from blogging this past week. We are at the end of week 5 of the school holidays, and as the saying goes ‘the natives are getting restless!’. We have just one week of the break left to go though, and I’m looking forward to getting back into my usual routine – and hopefully making some adjustments to it too!

I did have a little time to create yesterday though, but having had a break, I found my mojo a little lacking! I decided that a challenge might getting the creative juices flowing – and I do enjoy sketch challenges. It just happened that the Global Design Project have a sketch challenge this week, and so I thought I’d give it go:

sketch Challenge GDP

As usual, I may have diverted from the sketch a little, but the general elements are there. I missed the gap at the bottom  though, which I often add to projects – so it was funny I didn’t include this time:

The beauty of a challenge though, is that it sparks the imagination and gets you going! For this card, I particularly like the little banner above the sentiment – I’ll be using that fun element again!

Thanks for stopping by today. Come back soon as I have lots of new fun things in the works – announcements, blog hops, and I need you feedback too!

Flourishing Phrases for the Artisan Design Team!

Hi There! Welcome to the Artisan Design Team Blog Hop. The Artisan Design Team is an international group of demonstrators put together by Stampin’ Up! to bring you ideas and inspiration using your crafting supplies.

This time we are focusing on the Flourishing Phrases Bundle:

Stampin' Up! - Flourishing Phrases - Wedding Gift Box - Artisan Design Team Blog Hop - Valerie Moody. X

I decided to make a gift box for a wedding gift this time round. I created the box using my Envelope Punch Board to make both a base and a separate lid.

Stampin' Up! - Flourishing Phrases - Wedding Gift Box - Artisan Design Team Blog Hop - Valerie Moody. X

Inside, I then lined the box with another box – made again with the Envelope Punch Board – and created from Envelope Paper. I made this slightly smaller than my base, as an insert to ‘wrap’ the present.

I added a little Congratulations note inside. I actually think that a mini book or photo album would be perfect in here – what a fantastic gift for newly weds.

I die cut a frame using the Layered Square Framelits and then wrapped it with Affectionately Yours Washi Tape. I then added coordinating flowers and leaves cut using the Flourish Thinlits.

Marquee Messages Card & Video

Hi! How are you spending your week? In amongst keeping the kids entertained, I’m trying to find a little time to play with my new Autumn/Winter goodies from Stampin’ Up! I have several great seasonal classes planned, and I can’t wait to share with you! Until then though, I have some other shares for you.

Today, a fun card and video showing a way of getting some more mileage from the Marquee Messages stamp set:

Stampin' Up! - Marquee Messages - Birthday Card - Video Tutorial HERE!

Marquee Messages was one of the stamp sets high on my wish list, I couldn’t wait to get it! I always like to know I can do something different with a stamp set too – make it work for it’s price!

Here is a video tutorial on how to make this card including the ombre watercolouring of the sentiment, as well as how to separate the banner section I’ve used from the larger image:

What do you think? Which technique did you like to see? I love all your feedback.

Here’s what you need to make this card. Just click on any of the product images below to be taken to my Online Store and go shopping!

Jar Of Love With The Stamp Review Crew

Jar of Love

Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop! We are an international team of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators and today we’re focusing on the relatively new Jar Of Love stamp set. I love this set – in fact, I don’t think I’ve met anyone yet who doesn’t love it!

The card I’m sharing today is the result of some playing around I did a few weeks ago:

Stampin' Up! - Jar Of Love - Stamp Review Crew - Valerie Moody; Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. X

Based on a Colour scheme I had saved, I wanted to use the colours in my card – Black, Gold, Peekaboo Peach, Calypso Coral, Mint Macaron & Emerald Envy.

I combined the Stylized Birthday greeting, heat embossed in Gold onto Black cardstock with flowers and leaves from the Jar of Love set. I carried the theme of my circular sentiment onto the card using with the Large Dots embossing folder, and finished with a strip of DSP and Gold card.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Please continue around the blog hop  – Holly is next and she blows me away with every creation! You won’t want to miss it!

Stampin’ Up! Touches Of Texture Card

Hi There! I hope you have a fun weekend planned? I’m spending time with family, and hopefully relaxing a little too! The first 3 weeks of the school holidays have been busy and the girls and I are shattered already! We have a quiet couple of weeks coming up though, so we’ll soon be back to normal.

Today I’m sharing another card from my recent class – Laughs & Papercrafts – a class I hold locally in Rugby, UK.

Stampin' Up! - Touches of Texture - Valerie Moody; UK Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. X

It’s a fairly traditional card, based a few I’ve seen on Pinterest that were one of the Make & Takes from the recent Stampin’ Up! cruise, I believe.

The Touches of Texture stamp set from Stampin’ Up! is perfect for crafters like me who aren’t keen on colouring! You use the stippled stamps in the set to fill in the outline stamps – giving you a grungy  coloured look, with no hassle!

I would love to serve you as your Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. If you would like to purchase any Stampin’ Up! products, you can do so from my Online Store. To grab these products, just click on their image to go straight to that item in the store.

Published! Scrapbook & Cards Today Blog!

Hi! I am so excited by today’s news! On Saturday, some of my projects were showcased on the Scrapbook & Cards Today blog! The first Saturday of the month, Stampin’ Up! and Scrapbook & Cards Today team up to offer Stampin’ Saturday Inspiration – showcasing projects using Stampin’ Up! products – and offering a giveaway!

Members of the ADT were given the opportunity to contribute projects to this monthly blog post, and I was lucky enough to be one of them!!

Here are the projects I shared on the blog:

Stampin' Up! - Birthday Fiesta - Valerie Moody. X

I decided to focus on the Birthday Fiesta Bundle, and share 3 projects – each stepped up from the last – that you could make based on how much time you have available! These are cards are super fun and bright!

I’ll be sharing them individually on this blog in due course, but for now – head over to the Scrapbook & Cards Today blog and check them out over there – and don’t forget to enter the Giveaway!!!

Back soon with more,

Confetti Celebrations Shaker Card & Video

Hi There! How’s you week started? My children are at a theatre workshop for some of this week, and I am waiting impatiently for my Stampin’ Up! Autumn/Winter catalogue pre-order to arrive! I had hoped I would get it in time to have a play while the kids were at theatre, but that’s looking unlikely now, which is a shame.

Never mind though, as I still have plenty of fun stuff to share with you using goodies from the Stampin’ Up! Annual catalogue. Today, I’m sharing a fun Shaker Card we made at my monthly class last week. We added a little extra fun by putting the recipients birthday number inside the shaker!

Stampin' Up! - Confetti Celebration - Shaker Card - Birthday Card - Video Tutorial HERE!

I’ve a video for you so you can make your own and I’ve also included the fun technique of how to use your Layered Square Framelits to cut a rectangle from your card panel:

Don’t forget that you can get everything you need to make this fun project from my Online Store, and I would love to be your demonstrator. Just click on the product images below to go to that item in the store and pop them in your basket:

I Hear You – So Watch Out!

Hi Guys! Just popping in quickly today to respond to all your lovely messages regarding this box:

Stampin' Up! - Detailed Floral Thinlits - Gift Box - Valerie Moody, UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. X

You were all so very kind about it – thank you. I also had a lot of requests for a tutorial on how to make it. As you all know, my kids are currently on holiday from school, so my craft time is rather reduced – and getting quiet time for videoing is nigh on impossible in this house right now.

However, I did want to let you all know that I will be working on a video tutorial for you just as soon as I can – Yippee! I’ll just ask you to bear with me – but in return, I have a fab idea I think you’re going to love! No guarantees, but I hope to have everything ready by the end of the month – so only a couple of weeks to wait.

Oh, and I’ve edited last week’s ADT Thoughtful Branches Blog Hop post to put in the missing link to that box tutorial – sorry about that!

In fact, I’ve been loving all the kind comments I’ve been receiving lately. Thank you so much to everyone who takes the time to leave me a message – I know we all have limited time, so I am truly grateful to those a spare a little of theirs to leave a comment. I suffer from low self-esteem, especially when it comes to my crafting, and I really can’t tell you how much your comments mean to me – thank you all.

New video tomorrow – a Shaker Card! I hope you’ll stop by again for that,

Love From Santa Gift Box

Hi There! I hope you’ve had a wonderful week? Mine has been busy. We’ve been away for a few days, and then when I got back, I had my monthly card class here in Rugby, UK (get in touch to come along!). I feel like I’ve a bit of catching up to do!

Today, I’m sharing a quick gift box with you that I made after I prepped my projects for the Artisan Design Team Christmas in July blog hop. I’d submitted my team projects, but decided to play a little longer with the design to create a matching gift box:

Stampin' Up! - Peace This Christmas - Gift Box - Valerie Moody, Independent UK Demonstrator. X

It’s made using the Gift Bag Punch Board, with angled sides for interest.

Stampin' Up! - Peace This Christmas - Gift Box - Valerie Moody, Independent UK Demonstrator. X2

As you can see, it coordinates with my original card. I’m getting quite excited about Christmas already. My Stampin’ Up! Autumn/Winter Catalogue pre-order should be here really soon, and I can’t wait to get into the Christmas spirit!

In the meantime, you can grab all these Christmas products from the Stampin’ Up Annual Catalogue in my Online Store. Just click on the product images to add them to your basket and have them sent straight to your door:
